Responsible Gaming at Great Slots Casino
This page explains how we keep gambling a form of entertainment, which safer gambling tools sit in your account and how to switch them on. It also lists the signs that gambling may be causing harm and the UK organisations that offer free, confidential help.

Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income
Playing with us is meant to be a pastime. It is not a way to make money, to clear a debt or to win back what you have already lost. Every game we offer has a built-in margin in favour of the house, so over time the money staked exceeds the money paid out.
We ask you to decide, before you play, how much money and how much time you are willing to spend. Treat that figure as the price of the entertainment and stop when you reach it.
- Play only with money you can afford to lose after your rent, bills and other commitments are paid.
- Never borrow money, use credit or sell possessions to fund play.
- Set your own budget and time limit for each session and keep to them.
- Take regular breaks and keep gambling in balance with work, sleep, family and other interests.
- Avoid playing when you are upset, bored, under pressure or have been drinking.
- Accept losses as part of the entertainment rather than something to chase.
Our services are for adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence for the services we offer and we verify the identity, age and payment details of every account holder before play or withdrawals are allowed.
Strictly 18+
Underage gambling is an offence. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it, void any winnings and return the balance of deposits to the payment source used.
The tools in your account and how to switch them on
Every account includes a set of safer gambling tools. They sit in the responsible gaming area of your account, alongside the cashier, and you can set them up yourself at any time. The periods and amounts available are the ones shown in your account.
| Tool | What it does | Where to set it |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps how much you can pay in over a day, week or month. Further deposits are declined until the period resets. | Responsible gaming settings in your account |
| Loss limit | Caps your net losses over a chosen period, counted after winnings are taken into account. | Responsible gaming settings in your account |
| Session limit | Limits how long a single session can last. You are logged out when the time is up. | Responsible gaming settings in your account |
| Reality check | Shows an on-screen message at the interval you choose, with how long you have been playing and your result so far. | Responsible gaming settings in your account |
| Time-out | A short break during which you cannot log in or deposit. Access returns automatically when the break ends. | Responsible gaming settings, or ask live chat |
| Self-exclusion | A longer break. We close access to play, remove you from marketing and will not reopen the account before the period ends. | Responsible gaming settings, or e-mail support@casino-greatslots.co.uk |
Setting a limit
- Sign in and open the responsible gaming section of your account.
- Choose the tool you want and the period it should cover.
- Enter the amount or length of time and confirm.
- Check the confirmation shown on screen; the setting then appears in your account.
- If you cannot find a tool or would like help choosing one, use the live chat on the site or e-mail support@casino-greatslots.co.uk.
When a change takes effect
A new limit, or a change that makes an existing limit stricter, applies as soon as you confirm it. A request to raise or remove a limit takes effect only after the cooling-off period shown in your account has passed and you confirm the request a second time. If you take no action, the old limit stays in place.
A time-out or self-exclusion cannot be lifted early. While it runs we will not accept deposits or wagers from you, and we will take reasonable steps to stop you opening a new account. Any balance left in your account can be withdrawn in the normal way.
Set limits before you need them
Limits work best when they are chosen calmly in advance. It costs nothing to set one, and you can tighten it at any time.
Signs that gambling may be causing harm
Problem gambling develops gradually and is easy to overlook. Go through the checklist below and answer honestly.
- You gamble for longer or with more money than you intended.
- You stake more to feel the same level of interest.
- You gamble to win back losses, or deposit again straight after a loss.
- You borrow money, use credit or miss bills in order to play.
- You hide how much you play or lose from family, friends or colleagues.
- Gambling interferes with work, study, sleep, meals or time with people close to you.
- You feel restless, anxious or irritable when you cannot play.
- You gamble to escape stress, loneliness or low mood.
- You have tried to cut back or stop and found you could not.
- Someone has told you they are worried about your gambling.
If you recognise yourself in even one or two of these points, consider setting a limit or taking a time-out today and speaking to one of the organisations below. Support is free and confidential, and you do not need to be in crisis to use it.
Where to get help
The organisations below work across the UK and are not connected to us commercially. You can contact them for yourself or for someone you are worried about.
- GambleAware provides information, self-assessment tools and advice on gambling harm, and signposts free treatment services in England, Scotland and Wales.
- GamCare offers free counselling, structured treatment and one-to-one support for people affected by gambling, including family members.
- GamStop is a free self-exclusion scheme that blocks you from online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain, including ours, for a period you choose. Registration is handled by the scheme itself, not by us.
- The National Gambling Helpline is a free, confidential helpline and live chat service, open at any hour, staffed by trained advisers who can talk through your situation and arrange support.
Alongside these services, it can help to speak to your GP, ask your bank about blocking gambling payments, and install blocking software on the devices you use. If you would like us to apply a limit, a time-out or a self-exclusion for you, tell us on live chat or e-mail support@casino-greatslots.co.uk and we will action it.
Protecting children and other adults in your household
We check the age and identity of everyone who registers, and accounts stay restricted until that verification is complete. Those checks cannot work on their own, so we ask you to help keep our games away from anyone under 18.
- Keep your username, password and payment details private, and never share them with family members.
- Log out fully when you finish, especially on a shared computer, tablet or phone, and do not save your password in a shared browser.
- Do not let anyone else play on your account; doing so breaches our terms and can lead to voided winnings.
- Use parental control or content-filtering software on household devices to block gambling sites, and set up separate user profiles for children.
- Keep bank cards and card details out of reach of children.
If you believe a person under 18 has used your account or opened one with us, contact us immediately on live chat or at support@casino-greatslots.co.uk so that we can look into it and close the account where necessary.
